Seattle Biomedical Research Institute (SBRI)

O’Brien & Company provided LEED Project Management services for this mixed-use, biomedical facility, a development of Harbor Properties, Vulcan, Inc., and the Seattle Biomedical Research Institute. A LEED Silver project, it was the first to be certified under the LEED for Shell and Core (LEED-CS) pilot program.

The firm's work included analyzing LEED systems, coordinating cost analysis, specification assistance, and LEED documentation. We also authored a green housekeeping program meeting LEED requirements for an innovation credit and a green Tenant Improvement Design Guidelines manual meeting the LEED requirement for LEED-CS Sustainable Sites Credit 9.

The project received the BEST Award from the Resource Venture in 2005.
